MC. Beatriz Garzaro

Beatriz Garzaro began her career in radio at the age of 10. Guatemala 2000 was a two hour children’s show that aired on Radio Ciros Musical every Sunday morning. Beatriz remained an important part of the cast until the age of 16. During those first six years she involved herself in more radio work making special appearances, recording commercials and jingles.

At 16 she participated in a National annual singing contest held by Channel 11 and the show Campina; among 700 participants she got 1st place. By October of that year she was already singing professionally at the Hotel Ritz Continental and that started a series of personal appearances in different venues all though Guatemala and overseas.

She moved to Canada in 1989 and found herself singing again in different hotels in Toronto and surrounding area. She also started to delve into salsa music and the style of dance. By 1995 she auditioned to pair up with Carlos Cuevas and host the variety show Enter Amigos aired on TLN Television.

Entre Amigos became a staple in people’s living rooms every Friday night. The show focused mainly on local events but also covered entertainment from all over Latin America and the yearly visit to Festival Calle Ocho in Miami. Most importantly the show became a platform for local Latino artist.

During her years at TLN Beatriz had the opportunity to participate in Latin Fest at Wonderland and The Carnival at Ontario Place hosting in front of more than 15,000 people 4 years on a row.

Beatriz went back to college and graduated in the Film and T.V. Production program. Since then she has hosted Wedding Wonders in Windsor Ontario and she also has gone back to her love of dancing teaching Latin dance workshops. She is currently in the process of starting Latin Dance lessons at Mademoiselle Fitness and Joe Read School of Dance. She also sings for special events with Orlando Valencia and Pachanga.
